From the moment you see a picture of the Philips Norelco QC5055 Power Hair Clipper, you know it’s going to be interesting clipper. But looks only count for so much, especially when it comes to a device for cutting your hair. So how does the Philips Norelco QC5055 fair up overall as a product?
From the first use, it seemed to house a very powerful motor. It’s advertised as having “turbo power” and I’d agree with that to an extent. The main thing is that is has the power to cut through my thick hair in a breeze, and actually cuts as opposed to pulls. The adjustment settings it has are perfectly adequate and each setting locks in to place quite nicely. I know how annoying it is when you aren’t fully convinced that a setting has locked into place and you’re a bit on edge as to whether it will stay at the right length setting! You won’t have that problem with these clippers.
The razor also has a good feel to it in general. It’s no slip grip ensures that its the best clippers for fades 2017. It’s shape fits nicely in the hand and is perfectly comfortable to use.
Another thing worth noting is the battery life. It will last a good 40+ minutes cable free, giving you plenty of time to get the job done without any cables getting in the way.
A side from that, one of my favourite features is it’s ease of cleaning. The blades are self sharpening so they don’t need to be oiled regularly – if at all – and a quick rinse under the faucet generally does the trick. There’s nothing worse than a set of clippers being a massive hassle to clean, even if they do give you an amazing cut.
For those of you with a beard, this actually also works great as a beard trimmer. I hate having to have multiple devices for different purposes, so I tried this out on my beard just as a test. It worked great! Now I just have the one device for all my hair trimming needs!
The actual quality of the blades does give me doubts at times, but that’s only comparing it to the higher end, professional quality models. As mentioned earlier, the power sort of makes up for this and I haven’t experienced a bad cut yet. Sometimes I just feel that if the blades were a tad more sharper then the cut would be even smoother.
In conclusion, it’s really hard to put the Philips Norelco QC5055 at fault, considering it’s cost. I guess the cut on more expensive models would be smoother, but then that’s what you’re paying for. I’ve been completely satisfied with the quality of cut that this razor has given me, and as I say, it’s even suitable for a beard. Overall, a great product by Philips.Read More

According to Logitech G600 ratings and given the fact that it is on top of gamers’ preference, the Logitech G600 makes every dollar spent for its buy worth it! Loaded with programmable button, it only brings gaming to a whole new dimension, since it is a high end MMO gaming mouse that makes your play so much easier and comfortable for your wrist. However, apart from the 12 standard buttons all MMO mice bring on their right sides, the G600 comes with an extra 3 that seem a bit confusing at first but once you get the hang of them you feel like new horizons have opened in front of you to explore.
It is commonly noted in each Logitech G600 review found online that although it is quite difficult for a brand to come up with ideas as to where and how to stuff buttons, Logitech found a way to successfully come out of that obstacle and introduce to the world, the best gaming mouse.
Another great advantage users can benefit from is the user-friendly software customization options that come build-in the G600 and increase its peripherals’ utility, which is a factor that elevates all gamers’ appreciation of the particular mouse.
What is more, you can remap each key with Logitech’s driver software, even though it doesn’t come with the capacity of Synapse’s multi-programming options.
However, users are allowed to switch to compatible games with perhaps the quickest customization processes thanks to the Auto-Detection feature that automatically performs HD scans and connects your mouse with them, without having to do any remapping whatsoever.
Even though its software flies sky high, Logitech G600 deals with a rather troublesome hardware. When gamers purchase a Logitech G600 for sale they come across many buttons, which they have to learn how to handle and familiarize themselves with but some of them are not that easy to reach, since they are outnumbered compared with other MMO gaming mice. Moreover, it isn’t as ergonomic as others in its category and users can’t seem to find a comfortable spot to rest their hand.
Set aside that, its software rocks and it makes sense why gamers have top rated as an extremely easily customized mouse ever. So, for everyone on the lookout for a qualitative MMO mouse, the G600 has found a very resourceful way to raise the bar for its competitors. Logitech is notorious for triggering strong reactions in the market both among customers and other competitive brands with every product it releases, anyway!
Although the G600 is not that expensive in the light of its features, you can also get a Logitech G600 discounted either online or from local vendors and make the best deal for you this year.Read More

This morning while driving to work I was stuck behind somebody driving a brand-spanking new Volkswagon Golf. In the back window they had a stupid sticker that said Fukengruven, which is a take off of the Volkswagon ad for Fahrvergnugen.
Now, Ive seen many variations of this recently. A brand new bug with a sticker that says Phishisgruvn or a Jetta with a Funkengruven sticker. While some may have seen these spin-off stickers as clever back in the day, they have no relevance now. Volkswagon hasnt used the Fahrvergnugen term in about 10 years.
I kind of equate this phenomenon with going out and buying some brand new stylish piece of clothing today and having Spuds McKensie screen printed on it. Or getting a California Raisins tattoo on your forehead. Although to make it more extreme you would have to have Spuds McKensie skateboarding and the California Raisins smoking doobies.
Of course, maybe all this fits into being super-retro. I guess the people driving these cars are probably 16 years old and had their parents buy them a brand new Volkswagon. That would have made them 4-6 years old when that stupid ad campaign was in effect, so I guess it could be retro for them.
I didnt look in the car either, so I guess they could have had a Fubu Spuds McKensie shirt and a California Raisins tattoo.Read More
This month my phone bill was $13 higher than it normally is. This may not seem like much, but I make it a point to review any bill I pay to make sure Im not being charged any BS fees. Qwest has done this to me in the past many times, so I make triple sure to check my phone bill.
Anyways, the $13 fee only had the words Zero Plus Dialing, Inc. next to it. A quick Google search turned up a bunch of other peoples rants about bogus charges from this company. It turns out that it is some 3rd party collect-call fee company that is notorious for scamming people out of money for bogus collect calls from Mexico.
We never received one of these bogus calls, but I did make a collect call home from a pay phone last month when I left my cell phone at home. The phone call was less than 30 seconds as my bus arrived right as my wife accepted the charges. Nowhere on the pay phone did it say that Zero Plus Dialing would be charging me for the collect call, nor did it say how much the collect call would cost. It was an automated voice recognition prompt that put the call through, but it never stated how much the call would cost either.
I feel that I shouldnt have to pay for a service that doesnt notify me of what it is going to charge me. This is absolute BS.
I called Qwest and they couldnt remove the charge. So I called ZPDI. I asked them if they had any proof that a person at my house physically picked up the phone and agreed to accept the charges. They said that their automated system did get a voice verification. I asked if it could have possibly misidentified my answering machine as accepting the call. The rep admitted that this happens all the time. I told her that I wouldnt pay for the charge unless they could prove that somebody accepted it. She agreed to remove the charge as a one time courtesy.
She stated that they would credit the charge back to Qwest in the next two billing cycles. That works for me. I asked for a confirmation number in case I needed to call back. She didnt have one. I asked if she had any way that I could verify that this conversation ever took place and that she agreed to credit me. She didnt have a response, so I asked for her direct number so I could speak with her personally if I dont get credited. She claimed that was impossible. The best I got out of her was her agent number. Total crap since she probably wont work there in two months.
Oh well. Its worth $13 to me.Read More
Ive always been a big fan of both the Ramones and the Misfits. I had 3rd and 4th generation tapes that I got from my older brothers friends when I was in 4th grade. As time went on I still enjoyed listening to their oldies, but most of the newer stuff they were releasing wasnt that great. The Ramones got too polished for my tastes and the Misfits were just different once Danzig left. I didnt mind the new Misfits singer, but I kind of look at it almost like a different band. Now things have gotten way out of control with both of these franchises.
First off, 3/4ths of the original Ramones members (Joey, Johnny and DeeDee) are dead. The only surviving member is Marky Ramone, who was one of several drummers the Ramones had. He was a member for many years, but definitely the least involved in the song writing process. Apparently this hasnt stopped him from touring around with random musicians playing Ramones tunes. Sure, some of the musicians, like the Guitar Wolf are cool, but is it really the Ramones just because the drummer was in the Ramones? I say no.
Also, now that all the original members are dead, somebody decided to launch an allout merchandising blitz upon the world. You can get more Ramones merchandise now that they are disbanded and dead than you could when they were still around. I guess its just common for artists and musicians to become more popular after death.
None of the Misfits members are dead, but they are milkin the punk rock cash cow for sure. Years ago Glen Danzig quit the band. A lawsuit ensued over who got to keep the rights to the Misfits name. Jerry Only and his brother Doyle won years later and formed a new Misfits. In their downtime, they apparently found Jesus and formed the Christian band Kryst The Conqueror. Kind of odd for fellas that were in a band that sang about killing babies and raping mothers, but whatever.
When they reformed, they got a new drummer and vocalist (Michael Graves) and put out a couple albums. If I remember correctly the new guys were kicked out because they were smoking pot or some such bullshit. Then Jerry and Doyle decided to hook up with none-other-than Marky Ramone to continue touring!!!! Jerry Only took over the vocal duties and they forged ahead as a 3-piece, playing classic Misfits and Ramones songs!!
If that wasnt weird enough, this lineup disbanded, Doyle (Jerrys brother) left due to personal reasons. Jerry reformed the Misfits again. This time he used ex-members Dez and Robo from the early days. This just seems too weird to me. Why cant these guys get together and write some new stuff and bill themselves as a new band instead of trying to rehash the old stuff? I wouldnt have a problem with that.
Ill tell you why Marky Ramone and Jerry Only continue to use the Ramones and Misfits names. Because nobody would pay them to play a show or record an album otherwise. Neither of these guys was seen as the creative force behind these bands. My guess is that both of these guys are days away from settling into a Vegas act and sitting back and collecting merchandising profits for the rest of their days.
I guess I would do the same thing if I was them. Damn.Read More
